Unplug

I know I frequently talk about this topic on here but the weather here lately has been so beautiful it has got me thinking and spending A LOT more time outside – ahhhh yes, natural vitamin D and fresh air. It’s no surprise that I have been sleeping like a rock lately! Usually I am up 2 or 3 times […]

The Little Girl – Part 1

There’s a little girl I once knew…well she’s apart of me really and I have been trying to find her again. She is carefree, innocent, loves food, loves to eat, has an innocent relationship with food, loves her grandparents, a daddys girl and loved spending Saturdays with him – eating cheddar popcorn and watching Garfield cartoon and Peewee herman. That […]

Tuning Out

I never realized how toxic watching T.V could be until I had more time to actually sit down and watch it. I particularly enjoy a cup of joe or cuppa tea in the mornings and like to flip between CNN: New Day, The Today show or Good Morning America. It became a routine in highschool. During the winter months where […]

Candigone Days 9,10&11

It’s about that time…. Each day upon waking up I took the dose of the 2 supplements (pill form and liquid) that come in the CandiGone cleanse as well as a hefty dose (50 billion plus) of  probiotics. I picture all of that good bacteria spreading throughout my guts lol Monday and Tuesday I made a traditional Scottish dish albeit using some substitutes (mince and tatties) compromised of ground beef with onion and sweet potato. I also made a cucumber salad in which I subbed in plain yogurt and apple cider vinegar. That did us wonderfully for two nights! Tonight we had a rice noodle dish with chicken and spices. I have terrible cravings. Today all I wanted was coffee and peanut butter cookies. I spent at least an hour on pinterest pinning all of the peanut butter desserts I could find! Can’t wait until taking the anti fungals are over with however…this kind of lifestyle will continue on. Have a great evening!     XO Jocelyn

Candigone Day 6,7,8

Happy Monday! Time for a check in! I’m just gonna kinda blend the weekend together to keep it short. Each day upon waking up I took the dose of the 2 supplements (pill form and liquid) that come in the CandiGone cleanse as well as a hefty dose (50 billion plus) of  probiotics. This weekend we ate A LOT of spinach salad, a lot of yogurt (which I actually might be cutting out soon…it makes me sad but I’m am still feeling like I may be sensitive to dairy as well) a lot of veggies and a ton of eggs lol. I’m so glad that those 7 days are over and I can now add back in things like meat and popcorn for snacks! Tonight I made a ground beef dish with sweet potato mash and cucumber salad. When making these dishes I tend to substitute yogurt for things like mayo/sour cream and apple cider vinegar for regular white vinegar. It does the trick!   Yesterday I spent most of the day raking in the yard and today I regret that. I slept like a ROCK and my upper body is so sore! Who needs a gym when you have a massive yard to clean up??? We went for a walk this evening with Lola so that was some light exercise. I kinda can’t wait until these candigone posts are over so I can get back to regular writing again! […]

Candigone Day Five

Friday check in!!  When I woke up I took the dose of the 2 supplements (pill form and liquid) that come in the CandiGone cleanse. I forgot to include that I usually take probiotics in the morning too. Need to rebuild that good gut flora! I honestly didn’t take probiotics growing up or into my 20s….I mean, i ate yogurt – but that was it. We really need to be teaching young people about the supplements and things they should be taking from a young age. As a preventative measure.  Breakfast: Brent made me a beautiful  2 egg omelette. I love that man!  Lunch: I made us a yummy salad feast for lunch which included mashed avocado, lemon juice and spices with a yogurt based dressing (plain yogurt). I also added lots of cucumber. Dinner: Dinner was a big plate of spinach salad with another yogurt based homemade dressing. And I’m terribly hungry at the moment (9 pm) but what can you do? After dinner: Brent and I took Lola for a walk around the neighborhood. Nothing too much – around 20 minutes. But that’s enough for a puppy of 4 months old. To finish the night off I took the second round of the anti fungals. I feel like I am in a state of “calm” to be honest.  I am hungry but I know I can’t do that much about it because the food that I want…would be feeding the candida […]
