8 Steps To Intuitive Healing

Happy Monday friends!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We spent the weekend by the lake visiting my parents and mom for mothers day. Lola enjoyed it immensely and it was a weekend of many firsts for her! We enjoyed lots of fresh air and vitamin D as well. Bonus! My oh my how Lola has grown.

Mom and Dad with Lola

These past few months have definitely been different for me. Instead of forcing what isn’t or what cannot be I have been intuitively following what feels right for me and my health and life in general. “Going with the flow” so to speak…trusting the universe has my back and will provide and closely paying attention to its clues/cues. I have been putting spoken word out into the universe each morning and following the path of faith for my life and those around me.  I wanted to introduce you to a list of what I have followed (looking back) these are the things that seem to be working for me and what I have had to go through to get to where I am today.

  1. Following that Gut Feeling

I guess you could call it a spiritual awakening of sorts  which happened leading up to my wedding this past year. I knew there was more out there for my life. I felt that I am here for a bigger purpose and that I was meant to help people in some way. Of that I was sure. I felt that by dealing with my own health issues – I could shed some light on these sort of issues that others might be going through too. I knew I had to dive into my health issues and start to heal from the inside out and that some how this would in a big way contribute to my future. I started by visiting with a nutritionist and naturopath who put me on the right path as far as diet and supplements go. I found out what was invading my body and causing most of the trouble. I got some medium readings in order to decipher what I was thinking and feeling and seeing. I learned about emotions and how they can get stuck in the body and how important it is to let them flow rather than allowing them to invade our body and thoughts. I pay attention to reoccurring signs and symbols that may be taking place around me and keep note of them. We are all born quite intuitive – we just need to get over ourselves and pay attention to the world around us. W

2. Acknowledgement

To get to a place where you can intuitively heal yourself it takes a certain amount of acknowledgement of how we got here in the first place. Whether it be self inflicted or family trauma from the past, we must step into living in this very moment and realize that this moment is the key to healing. What can we do today to shed our past and relieve worries and anxieties about our future? We need to find what works for us…it could be writing, journaling, yoga, meditation and very well could be a combination of things. What we do in this moment matters. We must be mindful, present and open to health and well being. We must do whatever we can to shield ourselves from the negativity of this crazy world. We must learn to not play the victim but to continually overcome, learn, and grow. I Jocelyn, acknowledge the role that my past has played in leading to my health spiraling out of control but I will no longer allow that to dictate my current and future health and growth.

3. Studying, researching and analyzing

We must spend some time studying, researching and analyzing our life and behavior in order to heal ourselves. We need to get away from the screen and cut the cord to anything that no longer serves us. We need to turn off the news and spend some time outside. I personally took a break from my smart phone and laptop. I took a break from watching T.V and the morning news. I took a good look inside my life like a fly on the wall and realized how out of control my consumerism and spending habits had gotten. It made me feel “icky” and realizing that I needed to make a deep change in my life. I spent some time going through my closet and donating items that I no longer wear, cleaned out each room in the house and spent quality time with my husband. We set up a tighter monthly budget that will serve us more going forward together. We should refuse to play the victim any longer.

4. Emotions

Realize that emotions play a huge roll in our path to healing and health. Intuitive healing involves taking a look at our trapped emotions and learning how to safely release them in order to live in the now and no longer harboring them in our body and mind. Some of us easily take on the emotions of others and feel all mixed up after we have been in large crowds – similar to that of an introvert. We need to take time to be alone and to release those emotions that are not our own or what does not serve us and be able to have that time alone to recharge our batteries. What has helped me has been to write about things that may have negatively affected me and in a way it’s releasing them from myself. You might release yours differently. It’s about finding whatever works for you, personally.

5. Doing

We must put in the work and listen to our intuition in order to figure out how we are going to heal. I completed two rounds of the 30 day candida diet, took two rounds of anti fungals, started walking daily, working outside, spending more time outside and getting more vitamin D, getting more rest, and eating healthier foods. You cannot accomplish much without “doing”. Period.

6. Diet

This one is pretty self explanatory. Do not eat things that make you feel like shit. Once I started realizing what was invading my body and mind I started seeing more and more patterns and familiar things popping up on my body and with my health. What works for me might not work for you. Personally my body responds well to a low sugar, low fat diet and I am working towards freeing myself of candida plus balancing my blood sugar and hormones. The better you eat the clearer your mind and body become – the easier it is to follow your intuition as it is all connected. If your body is all filled up with gunk it’s easier to feel blocked from what the universe might be trying to tell you. Finally…good gut health is KEY. Feeling shitty? Imbalanced? indigestion? Brain fog? Skin rash? Try taking a really good probiotic each morning and notice the changes.

7. Rest

Rest is so important. It’s important to not only get proper rest and adequate sleep over night but you must rest every day. Take a rest from negativity on the news, from negative people and situations that you no longer feel serve you. Grab the scissors and start cutting those cords. Being busy is not productive nor does it serve an important purpose in your life, healing or health.

8. Allow for Growth

Finally after following everything I have mentioned it will be hard not to feel the growth that you will continue to go through daily. You might lose or gain friends, you might figure out you are better suited in a new position or different career, you might realize what foods work best for you and what changes you need to make at home in order to have that growth that is important for all of us. Some people need to go through the rough stuff to allow for that new growth to happen. Some people need to have things fall away to experience growth.  It’s so important to allow this growth to happen. We must not stifle it for growth is necessary and inevitable in this human experience.

This is what intuitive healing is to me and what I have included into my daily life over the past couple months. I hope this helps you out too!

Send me a message or feel free to leave a comment if you have questions.

The Little Girl – Part 1

There’s a little girl I once knew…well she’s apart of me really and I have been trying to find her again. She is carefree, innocent, loves food, loves to eat, has an innocent relationship with food, loves her grandparents, a daddys girl and loved spending Saturdays with him – eating cheddar popcorn and watching Garfield cartoon and Peewee herman. That was her favorite. She was  overly attached to her mothers side  even though the relationship was kind of complicated. It was complicated because her daddy treated her so special…like his number one – mom sometimes got jealous.

She was quite a feminine little soul. She loved to have her finger nails and toe nails painted and her hair brushed out in the evenings. She loved to spend weekends at her grandparents house. She loved having sleep overs there and learning about her Scottish heritage. She found it fascinating and special. She loved visiting her other grandparents house, going swimming in their swimming pool, and helping her grandma feed the birds in the front yard.

This little girl loved to dance, she started dancing by age 3.  In fact she attended weekly dance classes but it never felt like too much to her. Although, she never really had a choice…she tried several activities like girl scouts, brownies, and skating. Her mom told her that she hated all activities except for dancing. This little girl was timid and shy but she shined on stage.

This little girl had her fair share of medical issues including frequent ear infections, allergy issues, night terrors and chronic asthma. Her parents told her during these night terror episodes…nothing could wake her from them and all they could do was hold her during them and try to comfort her. She was sick frequently and took too many antibiotics. Back then nobody really knew or seemed to care about the negative affects antibiotics could have on the gut and the insides of the body. This girl was on the emotional side and seemed overly sensitive – nobody knew why. She cried easily, loved animals and found it hard to make friends.

This little girl loved school and excelled in subjects like drama, English and history. She loved to write and would pretend write books on lined pieces of paper`. Math confused her and she frequently did things backwards. Maybe there was some dyslexia there. Numbers never made sense to her. She loved school but she was a shy kid and didn’t get in trouble for too much talking on her report card, rather she got in trouble for not enough participation. She had a lot of friends through her dance classes but not too many close friends at school.

This little girl had a good start to life and from about birth to age 7 she was carefree and innocent. She didn’t like when her parents argued or fought but she kind of understood that was a part of life. She chatted to her imaginary friends in her room and hid quietly away with her pet dogs while her parents argued. The dogs comforted her.

This little girl loved to go camping. She loved her family trailer which was very tiny and nothing fancy – but it felt like a treat to get away every weekend, have a campfire and roast marshmallows. It was fun to spend days at the beach by the lake. Yes, this little girl had a good, average life. And her parents tried their best. And yet the highs were highs and the lows were very low. Money was always tight however they always made it work. She loved her family very much. She loved her parents despite it all. She looked up to them for direction, self confidence and comfort.

I believe from birth to age 7 were my unmasked years…I was free and innocent. I enjoyed life and did not really experience the dark side of life yet.

Have you met your inner child? Is She/he still apart of you? Have you made peace with that little soul? Or do you still have some healing to do…It’s the only way you will ever be able to feel complete today. Ignoring your innerchild and refusing to make peace with the past will continue to haunt you into your future.

This writes like a journal entry because it is. By doing so it’s helping me connect the dots and remember myself as a child.

I will occasionally be updating with several parts through this blog.

Take care! Until next time…

XO Jocelyn

Signs From Heaven

Hello Blog world…. Long time no write! I have been busy busy busy as a fur mama – that is no joke!!! Look at how big Lola is getting 🙂 She keeps me on my toes and we start doggy obedience and socialization training on April 17th! She is definitely sassy and will greatly benefit from this 😀

But I digress – I spam my facebook enough with Lola pictures and I can`t do that all the time here (or CAN I…)

Today I wanted to talk a little bit about the signs we get from Heaven, crossed over loved ones or the Universe in general. I touched on it a bit in my wedding post – because even though I feel like I have been receiving signs for awhile now – the signs increased in the weeks leading up to my wedding – validating that I was on the right path and that greater experiences were on the horizon for me in my life. Sometimes we can get validating signs, sometimes we can get warning signs, signs of comfort, hope and peace. Whatever it is to you make sure to keep your eyes and most of all heart open to receiving these signs! These signs we receive can lead us to powerful healing that might be necessary in our life at the time.

Here are some of the main and common signs that I see and the meanings behind them:

This is a pretty powerful sign and it could have varying reasons and meanings for popping up during certain important times in your life. Some people believe that if you continually see this number it means that angels are near by. Angels come with love and protection and want to provide us with clarity and and guidance. When you see 11:11 pay attention to your thoughts at that time. The angels are letting us know that we have to start thinking positive and manifest the positive rather than think low thoughts or think about things we don`t want to happen. According to Dolores Cannon’s “Between Death and Light,” thoughts are energy.  Your soul manipulates energy.  Thinking is manipulation of energy.  As such, a thought is a willful act and it is powerful enough for creation. Seeing 11:11 means that opportunity is opening up for you and manifesting at the speed of light. Your thoughts are becoming reality! If you are happy with the thoughts you are putting out to the universe then you can rest assured that they will soon manifest. If not, it`s time to correct them into more positive thoughts.

Another understanding on seeing 11:11 constantly means that you are being sent the message that you are the creator of your life and reality and as such you must take responsibility for it. Your current situation is the result of past thoughts and actions. And the universe does not judge your decisions. But you should take responsibility and create your life choices consciously. Whatever you think to be true will come true.

11:11 can also mean that you are experiencing a deep spiritual awakening. Whenever you constantly see 11:11 or 1:11 number patterns you are called to awaken. A direct channel opens between you and your higher self. 11:11 is a point of merging the physical and non-physical realities of YOU.  When this happens, it’s time to stop from any mundane activity you’re doing and look at the bigger picture of life.

Finally – and my most cherished and favorite meaning of 11:11 – whenever you see 11:11 you should set an intention or make a wish!

Seeing 11:11 should be your  wakeup call. Follow your passion and you will find your purpose.

Occasionally when I`m out for a walk or out doing some mundane activity or errand I will glance down quick and notice a random feather on my path. I make sure to note the color of feather (because they hold meaning) and what is going on in my life at that point which might have some significance. Yes I do get excited and point and obnoxiously state..LOOK A FEATHER. My husband thinks I`m loony toons (and maybe I am) but it makes me happy! Finding feathers can hold different meanings to different people. It could mean that we need to start practicing gratitude and count our blessings. It could also mean that you need to lighten up a little, take a moment to breathe and feel the heaviness lift off of our shoulders. It could mean we need some time connecting to our higher power – whatever that might mean for the individual. Finally they remind us that we are loved. Feathers often show up when there is someone or something that wants to reach out to us. Sometimes this might be a loved one who has passed into non-physical. A feather is a reminder you are loved by infinite people (both here on earth and otherwise).

Here are some meanings for various feather colors:

White: Spirituality, faith, protection, hope, purification

Red: Good fortune, passion, emotions, courage, money, security

Blue: Peace, inspiration, spirit connection, psychic awareness

Yellow: Mental alertness, vision, joy, cheerfulness, intelligence

Green: Health, healing, nature, money, prosperity, success, nature, planet, animal, spirit

Black: Protection, warning, repelling or warning of negative energy, mystical wisdom, you are undergoing a spiritual initiation, growth or increased wisdom

Orange: Energy, change, optimism, success, new ideas, creativity, physical love

Pink: unconditional love, romance, caring, compassion, harmony, faithfulness, honor, inspiration

Grey: Peace and neutrality – the middle road

Purple: universal consciousness, spiritual connection, heightened spiritual growth

Brown: Stability, grounding, endurance, home, friendship ,respect

In the weeks leading up to the wedding we had a few random deer sightings…which really is not all that out of the ordinary where we live out in the middle of nowhere – however the way it happened was no coincidence. I remember driving home after a visit with Brents parents and I said to Brent – be careful for deer jumping out in front of the truck. No less than a few minutes later a beautiful doe jumped out in front of our truck – we hit the brakes just in time and she just stood there for what seemed like an eternity and stared at us….then ran off into the distance. We both had goosebumps. Deer or the doe also seem to come up for me in most psychic readings as a spirit or totem animal. So what is the significance of this….When you have the doe as your spirit animal it usually means you are highly sensitive, intuitive individual as well as feminine to your core. You are able to handle challenges with grace and overcome whatever comes your way. You are both gentle yet determined in your approach to difficult situations and problems. More meanings could include:

  • Gentleness
  • Ability to move through life and obstacles with grace
  • Being in touch with inner child, innocence
  • Being sensitive and intuitive
  • Vigilance, ability to change directions quickly
  • Magical ability to regenerate, being in touch with life’s mysteries

This really resonates with me as well because my life seems to be in a re-direction as of late and instead of going against that I am learning to roll with it and allow flexibility to come through and just take what comes my way.

Crows and Ravens

The crow or Raven is something else that repeatedly popped up in my daily life leading up to the wedding and even afterwards…I would see them on walks constantly and they also came up as another totem animal for me along with the doe. When the Raven comes into your life it might mean that magic is at play. Great changes can happen at this time. And your dreams will become reality. The raven will teach you how to observe your deep dark inner conflict and open the doors to begin powerful healing in your life.

The Raven is a member of the same family as the crow and the magpie, known as the Corvids family. While they are considered different species, the only real difference is that the Raven is considerably larger than the crow. Since the Raven and the crow are so similar, it is encouraged to also read about the crow as a possible spirit animal. Although they are quite similar, there are meanings that are unique to the Raven.

The Raven – also sometimes known as The Keeper of Secrets is much like any other bird being a messenger between the Heavens and Earth. The Raven asks us to dig deep and look inside of ourselves to create much needed change in our life. Often times the messages they bring and the change that we must go through will be difficult but the experience will lead to amazing growth within ourselves.

Here are a few common meanings for this power animal.

  • Introspection
  • courage
  • self-knowledge
  • magic
  • healing
  • creation
  • rebirth and renewal
  • rebirth without fear
  • being able to tear down and rebuild
  • master magician
  • shape shifter
  • mysticism
  • transformation of difficulties into blessings
  • being able to find light within the darkness
  • Courage for self-reflection
  • Being comfortable with yourself
  • Connecting with the crone
  • Omens
  • Playful aspects
  • Stir life without fear
  • Sexuality
  • Honoring ancestors
  • Divination
  • Change in consciousness
  • New occurrences
  • Eloquence
  • Power of thought

43994452 - crow, corvus corone, perched on a branch, close up

Similar to the Raven the crowe is associated with the mysteries and magic of life. They provide insight and support our intentions. So think about what you may be going through at the time that you see the crowe and think about the intentions that you have set. Sign of luck, it is also associated with the archetype of the trickster; be aware of deceiving appearances.  If the crow has chosen you as your spirit or totem animal, it supports you in developing the power of sight, transformation, and connection with life’s magic.

Throughout history, the crow has been associated with both positive and negative symbolic meanings. The most common are:

  • Life magic; mystery of creation
  • Destiny, personal transformation, alchemy
  • Intelligence
  • Higher perspective
  • Being fearless, audacious
  • Flexibility, adaptability
  • Trickster, manipulative, mischevious

Other traditional meanings associate the crow with bad omen, death, and dark witchcraft. The crow also carries the power of prophetic insight and symbolizes the void or core of creation.

So…these are some of the signs I continue to receive and I`m open to receiving them. What are some of the signs that you get in your day to day life….drop a comment below!

Spiritual Awakening of Sorts – Flow and Grow

I wanted to touch a little bit about spiritual awakenings/spirituality -if that’s what you can call it. I don’t pretend to be perfect in spirituality but I hold my own beliefs. I believe in God and attend Church (Catholic) with Brent if not every Saturday evening every other Saturday (or as much as we can). I grew up in a traditional protestant household (Scottish) and attended Sunday School when I was young but really was not a religious household – which I’m kinda thankful for! It allowed me to grow my beliefs as I felt necessary and instead of being forced on me – something I just sort of found..for myself. Brent grew up in a traditional Catholic household where you just went to Church, prayed before you ate and all of those traditions. Therefore we are working on blending our faith together and figuring out what is right for us. Some of my personal beliefs are a little different (or maybe a lot) different from the Catholic church – but I still take comfort in going to a community of believers and praying for ourselves and loved ones each week.

A picture from our wedding day ❤

In the weeks leading up to the wedding I believe I started to go through a more intense spiritual awakening that I certainly was not expecting nor was I prepared for! I believe it has and will continue to contribute a great deal towards my physical, emotional and spiritual healing. It lead me to learning about my empath feelings and ways. I felt intense energy around me that was certainly not my own and Brent and I continued to see signs everywhere. From 11:11 (constantly…and I mean CONSTANTLY) To random deer running out in front of our truck immediately after I would say;  “be careful for Animals Brent”….this doe jumped out in front of our truck and just stared at us for a minute. We both got goosebumps. I would wake up every single night at the same time and just feel the energy. It lead me to getting some medium readings done. I heard messages from grandparents (specific messages) whom have been gone from this earth for some time now. I really do believe my grandparents and angels have been and are constantly surrounding us and guiding us along this journey we call life, pushing us into things that are just meant to be and pushing us to be the best version of ourselves. It’s up to us to use our intuition (That first gut feeling we get) and be open enough to receive these messages! I believe this awakening came into my life at the perfect time and has guided me onto my true life path which actually includes writing this very blog!

It’s OK if you think this is all kind of “woo woo” and I welcome your opinions 😉

I am into all sorts of spiritual activities/hobbies now….I love collecting different gemstones for energy work and I also have a cool collection of Angel/Oracle cards. I absolutely love the uplifting msgs and artwork that you can receive from them with the right intuitive reader! ❤

I will touch more on my spiritual awakening later as it is every changing, ever growing, and I am still going through it! ” Flow and Grow” That’s the way I see it!

And if you haven’t jumped ship yet – than thanks for sticking with me on this crazy journey 😉

Growing up Empath

Hello everyone and hope you all are having a fun and most of all SAFE New Years Eve!

I wanted to give a little background into growing up as a little Jocelyn. I also do want to say that I love my family, I love my parents. This is just my path and I had to go through it unknowingly to get to where I am today. We had many highs and many lows growing up and all is how it should have been.

I was the shy kid, the “introvert”, the over emotional old soul. I suffered from asthma, lots of allergies, ear infections, got my period terribly early, horrific PMS and cramps, terrible and constant night terrors, I was always jumpy, scared and on edge, had the worst mood swings and was always so affected by my surroundings and environment. I didn’t have very many friends and took comfort in alone time. I wasn’t aware of the term “empath” until age 30. So as you can imagine I didn’t have the easiest or most supportive environment and help to understand why I was the way I was in my early days. I had gut feelings about things – that I was different and not really the same as my peers and that things were going on in my body and with my emotions in particular.  But I tried to stifle and ignore things instead of face them head on.

What I have learned now is that I was taking on my surroundings and other peoples emotions as my own and these emotions can get stuck if you don’t learn from an early age to allow them to flow through you and they can quickly manifest disease throughout your body. At times I literally thought I was going crazy. I also had physical symptoms such as skin rashes, constant UTIs and lady infections, terrible acne and lots of viral cold and flus that just would not leave me. I had so much pain in my body – took many days off work (turned into THAT unreliable co-worker) which was so not me!

I would realize again at a later age just exactly what this was inside my body causing all of these physical issues  (candida) thanks to a local naturopath/nutritionist  who ran a series of BIO scan SRT tests on my body.

SRT is a remarkable new procedure that combines the disciplines of Acupuncture, Biofeedback and Homeopathy with Laser Light technology. A computerized scan or test is done to see what your body is sensitive to, and how it is out of balance, then help it learn not to be.

For the longest time I actually thought I had a gluten allergy but turns out it was the candida (candida tropicalis to be exact) that had been taking over my body for so long that was causing everything to be out of wack. Candida can actually control so much in your body and can take on different forms that I actually still suffer from today such as PCOS, Digestive issues, skin ailments, chronic pain and fatigue and much more.

In my case, holding onto so much emotional stress during and from my past caused a manifestation of candida throughout my body. And it did spiral out of control!

Let me know in the comments if you can relate!
